The lightweight and breathable fabric works by evaporative cooling - a process that draws heat from the dogs body as the water evaporates from the vest. Unlike us humans, dogs don't sweat in the same way to keep them cool!

If the vest is being worn with a harness, we suggest wearing it underneath, enabling the wet fabric to be in direct contact with the fur.

Regularly re-soak when the vest is being worn, or remove altogether once dry / if a water supply isn't available.
